Our Mission

The Delaware County Housing Coalition (DCHC) is guided by a clear mission: to unite people from our region to help stabilize at-risk neighborhoods in the city of Chester and Delaware County,PA, working in partnership with municipal agencies, residents, churches and community organizations.  To accomplish our mission, we organize volunteers of all ages and skill levels to complete a variety of tangible neighborhood renewal projects in low to moderate income communities. At the same time, we enrich the lives of volunteers by providing meaningful opportunities for people to donate their time and talents to assist their neighbors. 

Our faith calls us to work side-by-side with residents to restore hope and bring renewal to at-risk communities – one block or one home at a time; we believe that as we build relationships between urban and suburban neighbors we also enhance our mutual understanding and strengthen the Christian community.
